Up for sale by private owner is a gorgeous 1974 Pontiac Grandville Convertible in great condition. This car has been in our hands since over 7 years now. It was the very first car we had purchased in the United States when we moved here from Europe. It breaks our hearts to sell this beauty, but we are moving back to Europe and the cost of shipping and import for this vehicle would be too expensive. We would like to give this car in good hands and hope that the winning bidder will appreciate its collector's value and will be taking very good care of it.
As you can imagine, this car is in great shape. It was well taken care of. We have received many compliments wherever we went. The car was only driven for 11460 miles in the last 7 years as our second spare car. It was insured through Hagerty's classic car insurance (around $120/year for full coverage against any kind of damage).
This convertible was always parked inside a garage, we avoided driving in rain, never drove it in snow or ice, and it has never left the state of Florida since we have owned it. This Pontiac is a fabulous cruiser with or without the top down.
The engine runs great, drives reliable and does not leak oil, no knocking or weird noise, lots of torque when you need it, shifts smoothely, power steering, AC etc. all works fine. This is a great driver with powerful breaks. The newly added tires are the widest size possible to properly and safely fit without modifications. Great tires to put the torque on the road, with 65% tread left.
The interior of the car was thoroughly cleaned, the leather seats professionally washed and treated. Looks absolutely perfect and like new. The exterior has very little cosmetic rust that can be easily repaired. The convertible top has a small tear that has been stitched up. A parade boot is also included. The bumper fillers (plastic parts in front of rear bumper) are missing, mounting brackets and screws are included. This is a very common flaw with these vehicles. The fillers get damaged from UV rays and fall apart. We know where replacements can be ordered. Also included are the original interior rear side panels, if you are not happy with the white ones that are currently installed. The white ones are modified so that the Pioneer speakers fit.
